J03: The Redoubt(e)

Today’s stage: 150 km.

Clearly the one we were a bit afraid of 😅

Four of us on the road. Some not quite warmed up yet, others already with tingling legs.

For me at least, a personal record 💪

A real train (from hell?) today, perfectly sheltered behind Phil, our locomotive 🚂

Steady tempo along a canal — of course.

End result: a crazy average of over 25 km/h, with heavily loaded bikes… 🤯

And to finish: pouring rain. We knew it. Still.

That’s when it becomes a different sport altogether: from happy cyclists to true asphalt convicts, counting down every kilometre separating us from… a hot bath 🛁

Spoiler: the hot bath is really good. Necessary. Life‑saving.

Now it’s time to rest while waiting for the Union match at 18:30 ⚽🔥
